Add images, videos, and visual content to make your guides more engaging and easier to follow.

Adding images

Images are added directly in the content editor. You have two options:

Drag and drop

Simply drag an image file from your computer and drop it into the content area:

Release to upload

Use the toolbar

Click in the content area and use the image button in the formatting toolbar:

Embedding videos

Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link directly into the content area, and it will automatically embed as a playable video:

Images are automatically optimized for fast loading. Large images are resized while maintaining quality.

Best practices

Show exactly what readers will see

Capture the actual screen, button, or interface element you’re describing. This reduces confusion and builds confidence.

Crop to focus

Remove unnecessary parts of screenshots. Zooming in on the relevant area helps readers quickly find what matters.

Add annotations

Use arrows, circles, or highlights to draw attention to specific elements. Great tools for this:

Consider mobile viewers

Your guides are viewed on phones too. Make sure text in screenshots is large enough to read on smaller screens.

Remember to save!

After adding images or videos, click the Save button to keep your changes.
